Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will give a major Diwali gift to women across the state and their families on Tuesday, November 3. At a program organized at the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow, CM Yogi will transfer a subsidy of Rs. 1,500 crore directly to the Aadhaar-verified bank accounts of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This will directly benefit more than 1.89 crore eligible families in UP.
During the program, CM Yogi will symbolically hand over cheques to beneficiaries to mark the subsidy transfer and address the people of the state. The program, to be chaired by CM, will be attended by Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Manoj Kumar Pandey, Minister of State Satish Chandra Sharma and several other dignitaries.
