Ensure devotees face no inconvenience during Deepotsav; complete all arrangements on time: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday chaired a review meeting with public representatives and senior officials at the PFC auditorium in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex to assess preparations for Deepotsav-2026. He reviewed the arrangements for the event in detail and directed officials to ensure that no shortcomings remain in making the divine Deepotsav a grand success.

The Chief Minister made it clear that no devotee, guest or tourist visiting Ayodhya should face any inconvenience. All departments must complete preparations within the stipulated timeline through mutual coordination.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought updates from public representatives and officials on the progress of Deepotsav preparations. He directed them to make special arrangements for the convenience of VVIP guests, saints and other distinguished visitors. He also stressed the need to ensure seamless facilities for devotees and other visitors arriving from across the country and abroad for religious ceremonies and tourism. He said, “Every visitor to Ayodhya should have a pleasant experience and that no instance of mismanagement should arise at any level.”

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure proper arrangements for all essential facilities, including drinking water, cleanliness and security throughout the event. He said, “Continuous cleanliness arrangements must be maintained along major roads, at ghats and across event venues. Keeping the large number of devotees in mind, security and traffic management arrangements must be made effective. The concerned departments must discharge their responsibilities within the stipulated timeline and continuously monitor the preparations.”

The Chief Minister also emphasised making Deepotsav a celebration driven by public participation. He appealed to residents of the district to light diyas at their homes and commercial establishments and actively participate in the celebrations. All educational, social and other institutions should also illuminate their premises with diyas so that the entire city of Ayodhya shines with their radiance.

He said, “The grandeur of Deepotsav should not remain confined to the event venues but should reflect the participation of the entire district.”

The Chief Minister directed officials to regularly visit different areas and monitor the preparations. Any shortcomings identified must be addressed immediately, and all arrangements must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Public representatives, the Divisional Commissioner and senior officials from various departments were present at the meeting.
