The 30-share BSE Sensex recorded a decline of 221.09 points or 0.33 percent, ending the day at 66,009.15. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty also experienced a drop of 68.10 points or 0.34 percent, concluding the day at 19,674.25.
The Nifty Bank witnessed a minor decline of 11.80 points or 0.03 percent, settling at 44,612.05.
Among the top gainers in the Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank, Maruti, SBI, M&M, and Bajaj Finserv. On the other hand, Wipro, HDFC Bank, UltraTech Cement, Power Grid, and Sun Pharma were among the laggards.
In the Nifty 50 index, major gainers included IndusInd Bank, Maruti, SBI, M&M, and Asian Paints. Conversely, Dr. Reddy’s Lab, Wipro, UPL, Bajaj Auto, and Cipla were among the losers.
