Important change in the date of the match due to Navratri
In fact, according to the earlier schedule, October 15, the day of the India-Pakistan match, would have been the first day of Navratri. It is celebrated in Gujarat with Garba dance throughout the night. The security agencies had advised the BCCI to shift the match to some other date due to security concerns. After this, the ICC and BCCI talked to the PCB about the change in the date of the two group matches of the Pakistan team. Pakistan agreed to this and now this great match will be played on 14th October.

At the same time, due to the India-Pakistan match being held on October 14, their match on October 12 was shifted to October 10 to give the Pakistani team a gap between the two matches. Now Pakistan’s team will land in Hyderabad against Sri Lanka on October 10 instead of October 12. This decision has been taken to ensure a gap of three days before the match against Team India, so that Pakistan can get proper preparation time.
