Lucknow: Two allegedlly committed suicide in different parts of city motive unclear. A BCom final year student from Rajarshi Tandon Open University ended her life at her house in Dehwa village of Mohanlalganj on Thursday evening.
The student identified as Khusboo (18) was found hanging from the ceiling with a dupatta tied around her neck in a room at the top floor of her house.
A ladder was found placed against the wall the police suspect she climbed the ladder to tie the noose of the dupatta before jumping down to end her life. As she did not respond to the calls made by her family members, the door of the room was broke open, and she was brought down from the noose and was rushed to hospital but was declared dead.
SHO, Mohanlalganj, Santosh Arya, said that police had taken her mobile phone in its custody and are investigating the case and the motive remained unclear.
In another incident, a 40-year-old software engineer in an MNC in NCR Rahul Gupta of Gomti Nagar Vistar ended his life on Wednesday following the depression. Police said Rahul was found hanging from the ceiling with the dupatta tied around his neck in the afternoon on late Wednesday night and he was rushed to RML Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police sent the body for autopsy and started an investigation of the case. ADCP, East Zone, Syed Ali Abbas, said that the motive was not clear but his parents said that he was under depression over some issue.
