Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Cabinet has decided to constitute ‘Rajaji Tiger Conservation Foundation’ on the lines of ‘Corbett Tiger Foundation’. After the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary SS Sandhu said that the main objective of the formation of the Foundation is to accelerate the ecological balance, economic, social and cultural development in the tiger reserve and surrounding areas as well as to protect the environment. To provide assistance for security. Apart from this, one of its objectives is to provide alternative livelihood opportunities to reduce dependence on forests and deal with human wildlife conflict.
