In possibly the first public reaction from Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on the ongoing protest by wrestlers at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, he appealed to the protesters to allow an unbiased investigation to be carried out in the matter. Speaking to media persons in Lucknow on Friday, Thakur said: “I appeal to all the sportspersons who are protesting there to allow an unbiased investigation into the matter. All their demands so far are being met and the Court has also given its verdict. The unbiased investigation will reveal the truth and Delhi Police will take strict action if needed, within the ambit of law.”
