A gangster from Jharkhand, wanted in over 40 cases of murder, attempt to murder, and extortion, was arrested by a joint operation of anti-terrorism squads from Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The accused, Aman Sushil Srivastava, would travel to Vashi only to make extortion calls. He targeted mine owners and railway contractors in Jharkhand’s coal belt. He was identified and arrested after Jharkhand ATS officials traced his mobile location and zeroed in on Vashi station, and Maharashtra ATS teams camped in the station vicinity for a week before arresting him.
