Lucknow: The Banda police arrested the man in a bomb hoax call which he made in the night of July 7 informing that a bomb explosion was to take place at Hazratganj Metro station around 11.48 pm on the day.
The man identified as Ramesh Shukla of Banda district made the call on CM UP’s Helpline and his call made the entire UP police to swing into action and to sweat for hours to find that the call was a hoax.
It surfaced that Ramesh was unhappy with two men Dinesh Tiwari and Om Prakash Tiwari were in the business of manufacturing and sale of bombs and they were to explode the bomb.
The police said they worked in the case and found that the information given by Ramesh was fake and that he tried to disturb peace and spread terror among the public.
In his confession, Ramesh said he suspected Dinesh to be intimate to former’s wife and that Dinesh had role in elopement of his wife. He said he made the call to frame both in a fake case and spoiled their future as they had spoiled his.
