Three held for shooting liquor shop owner’s bro

Lucknow: The BBD police claimed to have solved the case in which miscreants had shot at the brother of liquor shop owner in the area a week back.

Those arrested were Salman (26) of Ashiana, Sunil (27) of Thakurganj and Kaif (19) of Sarojininagar. The police recovered two country made pistols, tools used in house breaking, two motorcycles and cash over Rs 5000.

ADCP, East Zone, Syed Ali Abbas, who supervised the probe said Salman has 25 cases registered against him and they were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage.

“They confessed to their crime and disclosed that they had fired at a man who had saw them shutter lifting early in the morning in Tiwariganj locality. The victim Raj Narayan had lodged a case in this connection,” said Abbas.

Police said that in the past also Salman was sent to the jail during which he had met Sunil and Kaif. Kaif was in jail because he had thrashed his school principal when he was just class 10 failed. All of them had flunked class 10 exams.

The police said the miscreants were involved in above a dozen cases of theft and robbery.
