Lucknow: A man allegedly killed his elder brother by crushing him with bricks over a money-related dispute in Jorwarpur village under the limits of Chaubepur police station in Kanpur late at night on Sunday.
Santoshi, the victim’s mother, has accused her younger son of murdering her elder son.
Taking the accused into custody, police have sent his elder brother’s body for autopsy.
Additional DCP West Lakhan Singh said that on Sunday night, there was a dispute between Babu and his younger brother Vishal over some of monetary transactions.
“As the matter escalated, Vishal killed Babu (30) by attacking him with bricks,” Singh told TOI.
He added, prima-facie, it also came to fore that Vishal also strangled Babu using a ‘dupatta’ after attacking him with a brick.
Meanwhile, Santoshi told investigators that on Sunday, Babu and Vishal both had gone to some villager’s farm with the family to plant paddy.
“In the evening, there was a dispute between Babu and Vishal with regard to a share of sum of Rs 200 which they had received as wages. Vishal got furious and committed such a heinous act,” she said.
