Lucknow: A murder accused, who was out on parole, allegedly shot dead his sister-in-law over a property dispute in Mishrik area of Sitapur, police said.
The victim Hina (26), of Sahadatnagar, was at her home and her husband Parvez alias Shibu had gone to the farm when accused Javed shot her dead after a verbal spat, said the police.
Hearing firing, locals gathered but Javed managed to flee.
According to police, Javed had also killed his father Nazir Baig as well as his uncle and aunt three years ago over a land dispute. Since then he was in jail.
Mishrikh Circle officer Sushil Yadav said: “His mother had transferred some land in his name. There was a dispute between Hina and Javed regarding this. Teams have been formed to arrest him.”
