Bhopal News: Madhya Pradesh Government Launches “CM Jan Seva Mitra” Internship Program to Provide Employment Opportunities to Youth
In an effort to create job opportunities for the youth of Madhya Pradesh amidst the state assembly elections, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has initiated an internship program. Under this program, students are being recruited into various government departments. The second phase of this program, now known as “CM Jan Seva Mitra,” was launched by the Chief Minister on Friday night.
The government aims to extend its development schemes to every village and household in the state. Through the “CM Jan Seva Mitra” program, the government plans to involve young individuals in grassroots level administration and the implementation of welfare schemes.
According to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, this is the world’s largest internship program, offering internships to the youth in different departments across Madhya Pradesh. These interns will play a pivotal role in reaching development schemes to the people at the grassroots level.
The “CM Jan Seva Mitra” program envisions a total of 4695 interns, with 15 interns appointed in each development block. To be eligible for the internship, applicants must be residents of Madhya Pradesh and aged between 18 to 29 years, with a minimum of a graduate degree. Applications can be submitted within two years of completing post-graduation.
The interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,000, akin to the practice in private companies, for their efforts in assisting the administration and bringing the benefits of various welfare schemes directly to the people. This is the second batch of interns, following the successful completion of the first batch.
Chief Minister Chouhan has emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance good governance in Madhya Pradesh. The “Jan Seva Mitras” will act as the eyes and ears of the government at the village level, ensuring effective implementation of schemes and gathering feedback from citizens.
The “CM Jan Seva Mitra” internship program is a unique step towards connecting the administration and the public, making the development schemes more accessible and impactful for every individual in the state.
