In Varanasi, the Muslim community has once again demanded a halt to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey. Anjuman Intejamia Masjid has filed a petition in the district court, seeking to stop the survey. As per available information, a hearing on the petition filed by the Muslim side is scheduled after lunchtime.

An expert team from IIT Kanpur has also arrived. The team will conduct the survey using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) machine. This technique allows inspection beneath the ground without excavation. The survey will examine inscriptions and artworks on the walls of Gyanvapi, along with ancient relics, soil samples, and fragments of stones. Additionally, the survey team is using digital maps to comprehend the structure of Gyanvapi.
