Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in the BRICS Leaders’ Retreat on Tuesday, joining discussions on global developments alongside leaders from the five-member group.

Embarking on a four-day visit to South Africa and Greece, Modi arrived in South Africa on Tuesday. During his stay, he is set to participate in the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg from August 22 to 24. This invitation comes courtesy of the President of South Africa, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.

Marking the first in-person BRICS Summit in three years due to consecutive virtual meetings prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
