Rover Pragyan has come out from the Chandrayaan-3 lander near the south pole of the Moon. Before this, India’s lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 made a perfect landing near the South Pole of the Moon today. The next big maneuver was the landing of the Pragyan rover, which would transmit data from the scene to the lander which would be relayed to the space agency ISRO.
However, the launch of the rover took time. This is because the rover cannot be launched until the dust from Vikram Lander’s touchdown settles. Due to the Moon’s gravity being a fraction of Earth’s, dust does not settle the way it does on Earth.
