Keralites celebrated the harvest festival ‘Onam’ with pomp and gaiety on Tuesday by wearing traditional attires, preparing delicious dishes and decorating their courtyards with colorful flower rangolis.
‘Thiruvonam’ is considered to be the holiest day of this festival which is celebrated for a total of 10 days. On the occasion of ‘Thiruvonam’, a large number of people in villages, towns and cities offer prayers in temples in the morning.
