As a result of this victory, India secures a spot in the inaugural edition of the Hockey 5s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Muscat from January 24-27 next year.
Earlier in the day, Captain Navjot Kaur’s hat-trick led India to a 9-5 victory over Malaysia, earning them a place in the final.
India claimed victory over Thailand with a score of 7-2 in the final on August 28, securing the title of the inaugural Women’s Asian Hockey 5s World Cup Qualifier and earning their spot in the World Cup next year.
