Supreme Court Rejects Petition Demanding Ban on Religious Conversions.

In the country, cases of religious conversions have been continuously emerging. While voluntarily adopting another religion is not a crime, coercive and fraudulent conversions are considered criminal activities. In light of this, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court, seeking steps to prevent religious conversions. However, on Wednesday (September 6), the Supreme Court declined to hear this petition and dismissed it. This petition had demanded that the central government be directed to take measures to prevent fraudulent religious conversions in the country.
