Due to heavy rains in Rajasthan, Jhansi-Delhi track caved in between Hetampur-Dholpur of Jhansi division on Sunday morning. Trains were hastily stopped at various places after ballast and soil caved in from under the track. Due to this, rail traffic was affected for about four and a half hours. At the same time, 20 trains including Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, Gatimaan and Rajdhani were delayed for hours. Railways canceled two passenger trains.
Roads became ponds in Moradabad, tracks filled with water
Roads became inundated due to heavy rains in Moradabad. Water entered the colonies. Rail operations between Moradabad and Bareilly came to a standstill due to submergence of the railway track near Mundhapande. Due to this, eight trains of Moradabad division including Kathgodam-Jaisalmer, Kathgodam-Dehradun had to be cancelled.
