The rising trend in BSE Sensex continued for the ninth consecutive trading session on Wednesday and it gained 246 points. NSE Nifty closed above the 20,000 mark for the first time.
The market remained bullish due to buying in bank, energy and telecom stocks along with better data on inflation and industrial production (IIP).
