Transparency in Organ Transplantation
This digital registry has been prepared by the team of National Health Authority (NHA) after consultation with NITI Aayog. The biggest benefit of this registry is transparency in organ transplantation and collecting digital data of those who pledge to donate organs.
A senior official of the Health Ministry said that under this, organ donation pledge registry, recipient registry and two separate registries for living and deceased donors, a total of four registries have been prepared. These are linked to a central database. Its biggest advantage will be that only relevant stakeholders will have access to this data. Online certificates will be available to those who pledge to donate organs.
