The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in more than 25 states and union territories of the country except a few areas in the last two days and has issued alerts ranging from yellow to red.South-West Monsoon is in its last phase and it is raining heavily in most parts of the country. Heavy to very heavy rain occurred in Western Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Gujarat region on Saturday. Apart from this, almost all the states including Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, North-Eastern states and Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha received light and heavy rains.
