Released just before Independence Day, the film ‘Gadar 2,’ starring actors Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and Manish Vadhwa, has become the number one Hindi film in terms of earnings in cinema halls for 40 consecutive days in the history of Indian cinema. The film has consistently surpassed the earnings of the film ‘Pathan,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. The current box office record holder is the Hindi version of ‘Pathan,’ which earned 524.23 crore rupees over nine weeks in theaters.
