The report highlights that there has been a significant lack of growth in real labor earnings following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The report also indicates that the proportion of workers engaged in regular wage or salaried employment has shown an upward trend, increasing from 18 percent to 25 percent for men and from 10 percent to 25 percent for women since 2004.
During the period from 2004 to 2017, an estimated 3 million regular wage jobs were generated annually. This figure then surged to 5 million jobs per year between 2017 and 2019. However, the pace of creating such jobs has slowed down since 2019, primarily due to economic growth deceleration and the impact of the pandemic, as outlined in the report.
