The bills were approved during a session when members of the opposition BJP and Congress staged a walkout from the House due to other concerns.
The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Odisha Amendment) Bill, 2023, was initially presented in the assembly in March but was withdrawn a month later due to significant criticism.
