JioAirFiber, recently launched in eight key cities in India, has the potential to unlock a revenue opportunity ranging from US$7 to 10 billion,

according to a report by foreign brokerage Jefferies. This opportunity arises from its ability to drive broadband adoption among the 85 million Pay-TV homes in India that currently lack internet access.

JioAirFiber, a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) offering, has been positioned by Jio as a comprehensive home entertainment solution. It comes bundled with content from over 550 TV channels and more than 14 OTT apps across all its plans, in addition to offering internet connectivity.

With speeds ranging from 30 to 1000Mbps, JioAirFiber is aligned with Jio’s Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) service. Leveraging Jio’s standalone (SA) 5G network, the service can provide more efficient network slicing, allowing Jio to offer dedicated speeds to its FWA customers.
