On October 3rd, in western Nepal, strong tremors of an earthquake were felt in the afternoon. According to the National Seismological Center of Nepal, a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck the western parts of the country. This has resulted in damage to several buildings. Officials have reported that the earthquake was recorded at 2:40 PM, approximately 700 kilometers west of Kathmandu, in the Talakot area of Bajhang district.
