In the ‘Survival of the Richest’ report released in Davos, Switzerland this year, it was said that between 2012 and 2021, only one percent got more than 40 percent of the wealth created in India. According to the Poverty and Inequality Partnership’s ‘Inequality in Australia 2023’ report, the average wealth of the richest 20% of people has increased by 82% between 2003 and 2022. The wealth of the richest five percent has increased by 86 percent.
