Under the Ayushman Bhava campaign, for the first time in the country, 70 thousand people took a pledge to donate organs within 15 days. Among these, the number of women was highest. For the campaign running between September 17 and October 2, the government has launched a National Registry for organ donation, where the organ donation form is filled with mobile number, Aadhaar card, email and address along with e-signature.

So far 70,444 people have pledged to donate organs. This includes 40,216 women and 29,973 men. Most of those who have pledged to donate organs are from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, where 19824 and 14487 respectively have decided to donate organs.
