Excise Department has generated revenue of ₹3,175.38 crores in the month of September. Excise Minister Nitin Agrawal mentioned during a review meeting on Wednesday that the department is playing a significant role not only in revenue enhancement but also in the areas of ethanol and industrial development. It’s worth noting that the state government has set a revenue target of ₹58,000 crores for the Excise Department for the financial year 2023-24.
