Rima Das Nominated for Best Director at Asia Pacific Screen Awards for ‘Tora’s Husband’

Renowned filmmaker Rima Das, a recipient of the National Award, has earned a nomination in the best director category for her film “Tora’s Husband” at the 2023 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA). She shares this recognition with filmmaker Celine Song, known for “Past Lives.”

In addition to Das and Song, the category also features filmmakers Darkhan Tulegenov for “Brothers” and Liang Ming for “Carefree Days.”

Rima Das, celebrated for her work in Assamese cinema with films like “Bulbul Can Sing” and “Village Rockstars,” also serves on the 2023 APSA Youth, Animation, Documentary International jury. This jury is chaired by Midi Z from Taiwan and includes Hikaru Toda from Japan.
