Due to cloud bursts in Sikkim, sudden flooding in the Teesta River has resulted in several casualties. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has criticized the previous government, alleging that poor construction using substandard materials led to the dangerous and uncontrollable situation in Sikkim after the cloud burst. It should be noted that the cloud burst has claimed the lives of 51 people
