Under the Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana, the government provided gas connections to economically disadvantaged individuals. In the district, approximately 1.51 lakh people have availed the benefits of this scheme. This initiative was implemented through 38 gas agencies belonging to three different companies. Among the beneficiaries, the number of Ujjwala connection holders from IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) is 10,679, from BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) is 7,911, and from HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) is 5,354.
