The decline that continued for the last three days in the domestic stock markets came to an end on Tuesday and the BSE Sensex rose by more than 261 points. With the improvement in global markets, the market gained momentum due to buying of HDFC Bank’s shares after its quarterly results.
The Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 66,428.09 points with a rise of 261.16 points or 0.39 percent. At one time during trading it had climbed up to 392.89 points.
