Smugglers were attempting to transport 65 logs of high-value timber known as ‘Red Gold’ from VTR to Uttar Pradesh via the Ganges. The forest department in Uttar Pradesh has confiscated the valuable timber, which is exceptionally expensive, leading it to be dubbed ‘Red Gold’ due to its high market value.”
