Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy has advised that the youth of the country should work 70 hours every week. He said that India’s work productivity is the lowest in the world. It needs to be increased. Murthy said these things while talking to former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai for the podcast ‘The Record’. Narayana Murthy said that to compete with countries like China, the country’s youth should work 70 hours a week as Japan and Germany did after World War II. Asked about his outlook for the next 10 to 15 years, Narayana Murthy spoke on the need to improve productivity in India and resolve government delays.
