India’s R Vaishali has reached the joint top spot with 3.5 points after defeating Ukraine’s former world champion Maria Muzychuk in the fourth round of the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss Chess Competition. This competition is part of the World Championships cycle.
There are still seven rounds left to be played in the tournament. Apart from Vaishali, China’s Tan Zhongyi, Ukraine’s Anna Muzychuk and Kazakhstan’s Asobaeva Bibisara are also jointly at the top.
