Azam Khan, 10-time MLA from Rampur, four-time minister, once Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MP, built Jauhar University during the SP regime. On the other hand, Rampur Public School was also opened for children at four places in the city through Johar Trust. However, from then onwards all the schools started being run on government buildings and land only. In the last four years, third schools were also lost one by one from the hands of Azam Khan.
