In the country : Deaths caused by cancer have increased up to three times in 18 years due to polluted air.

In the country, around 14.50 lakh people suffer from cancer every year, and nine lakh patients succumb to the disease. In Delhi, over the past 18 years, deaths due to cancer have increased up to three times. Doctors attribute one of the reasons to pollution. Statistics indicate that deaths caused by lung cancer have also risen.
