The Municipal Corporation can use the name “Bharat” instead of “India” in its correspondence. The Mayor has prepared for this, and the proposal suggests convening a board meeting or a meeting with councilors to get approval for using the name “Bharat.” It is hoped that after Indore, Gorakhpur will be the second municipal corporation where the word “Bharat” will be used in correspondence with other municipalities. The Mayor mentioned that consensus from all councilors will be sought regarding this matter.
