Kolkata: Upholding a single-judge bench’s decision, the Calcutta High Court’s division bench stated that a married woman should be considered a member of her parents’ family. In the case filed by Rekha Pal in 2013, the then Justice Ashok Das Adhikari’s single-judge bench had delivered this verdict, which the state government challenged in the division bench.
