A deadly attack was carried out on a police station in southeastern Iran, resulting in the death of 11 people and several others being injured. Officials stated that in a retaliatory response, the police engaged and killed several assailants in a shootout. Responsibility for this attack has been attributed to the separatist group Jaish-al-Adl. This group had also claimed responsibility for a suicide bomb explosion on a bus in 2019.
