West Bengal, a vehicle collided with a parked police patrolling van from behind and fled the scene. The people in the patrolling van were taken to the nearby hospital, where Sub-Inspector Sujoy Das (45) and Home Guard Palash Samanta (31) were declared dead. The incident occurred on National Highway 16 in the Barunda area.
