Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced a cash gift of one thousand rupees to the people on the occasion of Pongal. The Pongal festival will be celebrated on January 15 this year. The government has already announced the Pongal gift hamper, which includes sugarcane, along with one kilogram of rice and sugar.
