Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced a cash gift of one thousand rupees for the people on the occasion of Pongal. The Pongal festival will be celebrated this year on January 15. The government has already declared the Pongal gift hamper, which includes sugarcane, one kilogram of rice, and sugar.
