For the position of the opposition leader, a decision is pending on the names of Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasra, former in-charge of Punjab Harish Choudhary, senior MLA Shanti Dhariwal, and Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya. A decision is also awaited for the deputy leader and party spokesperson. One of these positions could be given to a Dalit legislator.
