In the Arabian Sea, a major rescue operation by the Indian Navy: INS Sumitra freed hostages from maritime pirates.

New Delhi: The Indian Navy is conducting an operation in the Arabian Sea. The warship INS Sumitra, located 700 nautical miles west of Kochi in the Arabian Sea, is rescuing abducted fishermen from Somali pirates. The Iranian fishing vessel MV Imen, with approximately 17 crew members, was hijacked by Somali maritime bandits. Indian defense officials have provided this information.
