For girls aged 9 to 14, a separate phased cancer vaccination campaign will be implemented, with one dose possibly replacing two.

As per the announcement of the interim budget for 2024-25 by the central government, soon, school-going girls aged 9 to 14 will be vaccinated against cervical cancer. Information obtained from the National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research suggests that this campaign will be conducted based on the availability of the vaccine in different phases. Approximately 6.8 crore girls will receive the cancer vaccine.
