After downloading an app for investing in the stock market, they fell victim to a scam of 88.09 lakh rupees. Not only that, but the scammers also threatened to impose a penalty of 6.5 lakh rupees from SEBI. Upon the victim’s complaint, the Cyber Crime Police Station has registered a case and initiated an investigation. In January 2024, they received a link from a profitable portfolio Pandit WhatsApp group.
